“Gracious is the LORD” Psalm 116:1-4; antiphon: Ps. 116:5
Gracious is the LORD, and righteous; our God is merciful.
I love the LORD, because he has heard my voice and my pleas for I mercy.
Because he inclined his ear to me, therefore I will call on him as long I as I live.
The snares of death encompassed me; the pangs of Sheol laid hold on me; I suffered distress and I anguish.
Then I called on the name of the LORD:*
“O LORD, I pray, deliver my soul!”
Gracious is the LORD, and righteous;*
our God is merciful.
COLLECT OF THE DAY
O Lord, in this wondrous Sacrament You have left us a remembrance of Your passion. Grant that we may so receive the sacred mystery of Your body and blood that the fruits of Your redemption may continually be manifest in us; for You live and reign with the Father and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen
